- Welcome to the The American Ideal Radio Show based upon the book titled 'The American Ideal of 1776' by Hamilton Abert Long. The book was originally published in 1963 as 'The American Yardstick'.
- We need to answer questions like:
- What are the basic things that make us American?
- Why is that important?
- What makes America different from other countries?
- Why can't other countries get their acts together?
- What makes our system of government so different from the rest of the world?
Where did these ideas come from? What do they mean to us today! That is the question. While our Forefathers held these truths to be self evident, what do we think about them today?
Is America going the right way? Join us live as we do a 180! Yep, a U-tun. Hey, most folks agree... we're going in the wrong direction. And we need to talk about it! We are all on this 8,000 mile diameter place called Earth.... and the sense is.... we're going the wrong way. Let's all do a 180 and get this ship going in the right direction. We intend to bring these issues and questions into the public arena as they are foundational to America's continued existence.
