I CAN GET NO APPRECIATION!

On March 10, 2008 poor-choicers celebrate the National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers. If there is a more absurd day of appreciation I don't know what it is. Speaking as the Regional Coordinator for Silent No More for Los Angeles, I find the whole idea utterly ridiculous and repulsive. Silent No More has 7,000 members, that is 7,000 men and women who have been hurt by abortion and we are supposed to "appreciate the abortion provider?"

What exactly are these women and men supposed to appreciate? The lies that the abortion providers told them, like their child was only a blob of tissue? Or maybe they are supposed to appreciate the psychological damage they have incurred because of their abortion? I know they are supposed to appreciate the drinking, the nightmares, the promiscuity, the pain that only gets worse and grows with each passing year. What about the Holly Pattersons, the Tamiah Russells, the Laura Smiths, the Deanna Bells, are they supposed to be appreciative to their killers? George "The Killer" Tiller has continually circumvented the law and performed late term abortions, are we supposed to hold him up for regard for being a criminal?
